Lollipop moments are small actions that can have a big impact on someone’s life or the way they view the world. These actions may be some random acts of kindness by a stranger but they change the perspective of the other person.
We all experience these lollipop moments at some point in life from many people. The most wonderful thing about it is that we are also the source of these small moments where we leave a significant impact on some people.
A few days ago, I tried to think of people who helped me change my perspective and assisted me in becoming a better human being. However, there has never been any particular person who left a life-changing impact on me but many people left smaller and pertinent impressions on my life. We’re all a product of our experiences, observations, and so much more than that.
I am a proponent of the notion that I should give kindness to the Universe and it will give it back to me in the most unexpected ways. This is a philosophy that was shaped in my mind with the help of a person much different from me in the journey of life but still a person closer to me than many friends. I had a gift of gratitude overdue and I decided to finally deliver it.
It looked plain and ordinary. Simple and hurriedly written. That’s exactly how I wanted it to come out. Careless and lost. With the energy of youthfulness, determination to outgrow, and ambition to do something. The hurriedness signified that there is so much to do, a lot to live, and so little time to write it all down.
I delivered the letter myself. It was received well. I didn’t want to overwhelm my friend and I was happy to see that it wasn’t overwhelming for my friend who felt gratitude, for being able to create that impactful moment for another human being. And we all know what comes after it; happiness.
